Jackie Oates, contemporary folk treasure, award-winning singer and fiddler, will appear with multi-instrumentalist Mike Cosgrave.
They are on retrospective tour celebrating the re-release of Hyperboreans, Jackie’s iconic 2009 coming-of-age album, and will also include music from her ‘sublime’ 2022 album Gracious Wings.
Jackie, winner of two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, released eight solo albums between 2006 and 2022 as a central figure in the accomplished, informed and stylistically individual English traditional music scene that began in the early 2000s and continues to thrive.
One of the country’s best-loved folk performers, Jackie’s current focus is on collaborating with a diverse array of artists and commissions as she continues to perform concerts and make the solo records that rack up glowing reviews.
