DESCRIPTION:Cornwall has many legends and myths set in our ancient landscape. Some of our stories resemble Australian songlines\, the paths on which the ancestors of the aborigines sang into existence and created all the visible world. These routes were mystical\, and spiritual\, and every rock\, tree\, river or water hole is sacred. If they are not sung the land loses its spirit and dies. We have our own special rocks and stones and\, of course\, holy wells. I’ll be looking at some of our legends containing mythical journeys and the creation of bits of Cornwall. We need to remember them to keep our land alive. There’s an odd twist to this tale… \nAndy Norfolk is fascinated by ancient landscapes. He was the founder of the Cornish Ancient Sites Protection Network\, a trustee for the Rollright Stones and a chair of Sustrust\, which re-erected Carwynnen Quoit. He’s been involved for over 20 years in fighting against the Stonehenge tunnel scheme and has mapped holy wells across the UK. DESCRIPTION:Miracle Theatre presents Everyman \nDirected by Kyla Goodey\, with music by Dom Coyote. \nWhen your time’s up\, how will you account for your life on Earth? \nEveryman is riding high. He works hard and plays harder. He has success\, wealth\, good looks and is living the dream… until Death comes calling. Forced to take a chaotic pilgrimage\, Everyman becomes a man on the run\, frantically attempting to justify his life choices – but who will speak in his defence before his time runs out? \nEveryman holds an awkward mirror up to humankind and asks whether it is only in death that we understand our lives… \nMiracle Theatre brings Carol Ann Duffy’s electric adaption of the fifteenth century English morality play right up to date\, creating an intense\, exciting\, multi-media experience with live music\, projection\, choreography and a high-energy cast of 4. \nEstimated running time: 1 hour 20 mins \nWe are also delighted to welcome Cornish musician Mr Mogal who will be preforming a pre-show on the Friday and Saturday performances in The Fleapit. \n ‘The 21-year-old singer\, rapper\, songwriter and beat producer\, known as Alfie to his friends\, is a wonderfully talented purveyor of laidback hip hop vibes. From Falmouth\, he is influenced by Loyle Carner\, Easy Life and the late Mac Miller and harks back to the jazzy sounds of Arrested Development and De La Soul.’ –  Cornwall Live 2020 \nAge guidance: Everyman is an adult show! It contains some strong language and challenging themes\, so we recommend 15+ years. \nA new portable performance structure – The Fleapit – will create an intimate and safe performance space and provide a 360-degree canvas for Everyman\, transforming it into a completely immersive experience.
